Said Sakupwanya: My association will be working with gold buyers across the country to ensure that all buyers are taking their productions to Fidelity Printers Refinery. We hope that the prices around the country will be on par to eradicate bogus buyers. The association’s Treasurer General Raj Skorus said the formation of the association will help in the eradication and elimination of leakage sponsored competition which was prejudicing small scale and artisanal miners. He added that the establishment of one union will improve the quality of communication within the gold buyers’ community.

A health expert, Professor Solwayo Ngwenya, who is also the acting CE of Mpilo Central Hospital and founder of the Royal Women’s Clinic in Bulawayo has said reopening schools in the middle of a pandemic was a bad idea. Prince Edward High School in Harare has already recorded seven COVID-19 cases among Form 6 boarding pupils. Prophet Makandiwa’s UFIC pastor loses US$20 000 after buying a non-existent stand in Harare. Pastor Armstrong Chitauro allegedly lost the money to Rodrick Kuvarega of Kambuzuma, Harare. Kuvarega today appeared at the Harare magistrate court charged with fraud. A pastor at United Family International Church(UFIC) lost US$20 000 to a self-styled intermediator between land barons and home seekers, who sold him a non-existent residential stand in Harare. He was not asked to plead to the charges when he appeared before magistrate Ms Tafadzwa Miti, who remanded him to April 6 on $10 000 bail. 3 robbed during a visit to the cemetery. The robbers, who are still at large, went away with US$90, cellphones and a laptop. Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube said they were still investigating the matter. Three Bulawayo residents were on Saturday robbed at knifepoint by two men and two women at West Park Cemetery.  Pothole kills 84-year-old Mount Darwin woman. Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the accident. An 84-year-old Mount Darwinwoman died on the spot when a Nissan lorry she was travelling in hit a pothole and veered off the road before falling in a ditch yesterday. “I can confirm a fatal road accident along Glendale – Centenary highway where Sangras Maswi died on the spot, ” Mundembe said. Allegations are that a 15-year-old minor was driving the lorry with five passengers on board when he hit a pothole and failed to control the truck. The truck fell in a ditch and one persondied while the other was seriously injured.

He will also hand over computers for public sector workers manufactured by the Zimbabwe Technology Company (ZITCO). ZITCO is a joint venture between TelOne, Chinese company Inspur and a Government-owned entity and is involved in the assembling of computers, laptops, tablets and other technological gadgets. A self-proclaimed prophet, Tapuwa Freddy was allegedly caught in an exam cheating storm last week at a local university, Zim Morning Postreports. Freddy reportedly smuggled a mobile phone into the exam room at the Women’s University of Africa where he was writing a Theology exam. The clergyman, who is the founder and leader of Goodness and Mercy Ministries, mistakenly dropped the phone from his lap and walked out of the room in shame. A classmate told the publication: He smuggled the phone and hid it on his lap but I don’t know how he dropped the phone. He left the exam room in a huff before the invigilator confronted him. 1 killed and 17 injured in Zupco, kombi accident. The crash of a Rujeko bound Zupco commuter omnibus which occurred on Wednesday, March 17, claimed one life while 17 others were injured, after a tyre burst near Masvingo Polytechnic College, TellZim News has learnt. The deceased Abigail Chidanhika died on the spot after sustaining multiple head injuries when the commuter omnibus burst its front tyre, veered off the road and overturned before landing on its roof.
